We currently offer horse trails, 2 day horse camps with basic as well as professional
training at New Holme. All of our horses are tame and well behaved, each with a special,
yet unique personality. It is a well known fact that horse riding therapy in autistic children
has produced remarkable results in the past, so come and experience the joys of horse
riding.
Come and discover the beauty of the Karoo on horse back. We offer trails along the Seekoei
River and sun downer trails to the only Hippo populated guest farm in the Northern Cape.
The idea is to give our guests a more complete Karoo experience. Also explore the mental
and physical advantages of horse riding. The horses are child friendly and easy to ride. A
good weekend break is recommended.

Karoo farms are big and it is not possible to see all your sheep in one day. To do this the
farmers use horses, we send out 4 horses on a daily basis and they will cover between 10 and 40
km per day.
Once a problem is detected the farmer can the focus on that specific area. We rotate
the horses so they have time to rest.
This is the horses we use for the guests to ride on, not groomed or pampered but real farm
horses. Because they are not stabled it is necessary to book in advanced as they roam in the
open veldt.
